Let Your Balalaika Sing!
Welcome to the new version of Popmundo. We hope you'll enjoy playing the game in its new shape as much as we do. It's been in the works a long time and there's still more work to be done, like always. But we're really glad it has finally seen the light of day.

We recommend that everyone who's confused by this change take a moment to read the beta information after they've logged in. For those of you who find it difficult to let go of the past the old version of the game is available for you to enjoy atwww123.popmundo.com.

Update April 23

04/23/2012
For Whom The Bell Tolls
On Monday April 31 we will replace the starting page of Popmundo with the new version. This means that when you browse to www.popmundo.com you will end up at the new fancy version. So, are we ready to pull the plug on the old version? Is it finally ready to kick the bucket once and for all?

Well, in all honesty no, not yet. There are still some features and function that we haven’t moved over to the new version. Some of them are minor ones while some are important but only used by a limited number of players. While we continue working on these remaining features we will let the old version run parallel with the new version. Within a couple of weeks we will start closing down sections and portions of the old version. We will inform more about this in the days and weeks to come, so stay tuned!

Beta Translations Activated
We've activated the translations of Popmundo 2.0 now. This means that for a lot of you the beta is now available in your language of choice, not just english. Come see for yourself at beta.popmundo.com!

Please keep in mind that not all translations are completely done, and that some areas of the game are still in development and stuck with english text only.

Enjoy!

Name protection is no more...
...sort of. We've removed the "Name protection" credit product. The main reason for this is that it cannot match the creativity some people have (purchasing names like "Billy Bob Sa'muels", "Billy Bob Samuels." etc, which effectively circumvents the protection).

All previously protected names will still be protected against _exact_ duplicates though
