Clone Wars
It seems we've reached a time when some clarifications about how we look at cloning is needed.

First things first. We still, strongly, think that cloning in order to get ahead faster, or to gain any form of benefit that you could'nt otherwise, is wrong. It's like doping, and most of us agree that doping is wrong (except you, Lance, we know).

(more below)

The last few years however, we've spent less time hunting down and punishing cloners, and more time trying to remove or tweak the parts of the game that could be abused by running multiple accounts. As always, we're not "there" yet, but we are getting there slowly.

That aside, we also know that many of you play together with friends, family or people you are otherwise connected with out there in the real world, and we do know that sometimes you forget to log out when taking turns playing - or even help each other’s characters keep on their feet while away or otherwise busy. And we get human factors, and don’t really feel this “babysitting” is something that should be punishable by death. It does merit a firm slap over the fingers with a piece of bamboo though, because keeping your account secure and to yourself is good.
